Amish White Bread … A Delicious and Simple Recipe!

This Amish White Bread recipe is so incredibly yummy and has a hint of sweetness to it! It is definitely NOT your plain white bread. Every week, Corey bakes two loaves of Delicious Amish White Bread – but only when the kids are home from college. Otherwise … we would be in serious trouble! When our kids are home, we use this easy bread recipe for hot ham and cheese sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, burgers, and sometimes just smothered in homemade honey butter. By now, I think Corey can make this bread in his sleep.

We recently created an amazing pot roast. We took slices of this delicious homemade bread recipe and topped it with juicy roast beef, slow-cooked mashed potatoes, and veggies with homemade gravy (made from the pot roast juices) drizzled over the top! It was incredible and the perfect pairing!

Use a large bowl or the mixing bowl of your stand mixer to dissolve the sugar in warm water, then stir in the yeast. Allow the yeast mixture to proof (rest) until it creates a creamy foam. Stir in the kosher salt and vegetable oil.

Begin to mix in the flour one cup at a time with your dough hook attachment on medium speed. Continue to add your flour and mix until a soft dough ball forms. You may need to use a rubber spatula to scrape down the side of the bowl while mixing in the remaining flour.
