What do you need to make a Delicious Tater Tot Hotdish?

- Lean ground beef – 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey )
- Worcestershire sauce – 2 to 3 dashes
- Onion – medium, chopped
- Celery – 1 to 2 stalks, chopped
- Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup – (2) 10 3/4 size cans (you can also substitute a can of cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery )

- Frozen corn – 1 cup, thawed
- Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
- Kosher salt
- Black pepper

- Seasoned salt
- Sharp cheddar cheese – shredded, 1/2 cup (or use your favorite cheese)
Optional toppings:
- Additional sour cream
- Dried chives
- Other flavors of shredded cheese
How do you make this easy recipe ?
First, brown beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the meat with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Continue to break up the ground meat while cooking. Drain grease from the pan and then add in the onion and celery and a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce.
Cook the beef until it is thoroughly cooked and no longer pink. Then it is safe to try a little bite to see if you need to add more seasonings. Adjust as needed to reach your preferred great flavor. Kick it up a notch by adding a little cayenne pepper or dried pepper flakes!
Next, stir in the thawed corn and combine well with the meat mixture.
Continue to stir for about 3 to 5 minutes to ensure the corn soaks up the flavors and seasoning. Then remove from the heat and set to the side.
Meanwhile, in a 9×13 inch baking dish, pour in the cans of soup and combine with the sour cream.
Next transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to the baking dish and stir together to thoroughly combine the soup and sour cream with the beef.
Once the ingredients have been combined well, add a layer of tater tots to the top of the dish. Do not combine the two, just allow them to sit on the top.
Sprinkle the top of the single layer of tater tots with seasoned salt. And finally, bake this hearty meal in a preheated oven at 375 degrees F. for about 50 minutes or until the dish is bubbly and the tots are golden brown.
Around the 45 minute mark of baking, top the tots with shredded cheddar cheese and finish baking.

How to store leftovers:
Store leftovers in the casserole dish covered in either plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Or transfer what’s left to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave when you’re ready to eat again.
If you plan to make freezer meals with this tater tot recipe, I would suggest using disposable aluminum pans so you still have access to your baking dish. Seal tightly with a few layers of foil over the top, write the date on the top, and bake within 3 months.
