3smallred apples (we use Pink Lady apples), cored and sliced
5tbspunsalted butter, divided
2tspkosher salt, or to taste
2tspblack pepper, or to taste
1½lbpre-cooked turkey breast (we like Costco's Kirkland Oven-Browned Turkey Breast), chopped into bite-sized pieces
6clovesfresh garlic, minced
⅓cupchopped pecans , or substitute with walnuts
3sprigsfresh thyme

In a large skillet or cast-iron skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onions, apples, and 3 tablespoons butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir and cook until apples have started to soften; about 7 to 10 minutes.
Stir in the garlic, turkey, and pecans. Add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the thyme and rosemary sprigs. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the apples are fork-tender.
